Here’s To Us Web Developers And Designers

Here’s to us, the web developers and designers. We are part of a group of unsung heroes in modern society. So often we don’t receive the credit or recognition we deserve. Many people don’t realize how much talent and brains go into doing what we do. No, this is NOT a push button job. Those of us that truly excel at it are much more than a dime a dozen, by a long shot.

Now to those of you that don’t do what we do for a living and say, “well that sounds pretty arrogant”, I challenge you. I challenge you to create. I challenge you to design, from scratch. Start with a blank sheet, an idea, a vision. Then I challenge you to learn multiple new code languages and learn how to best implement those languages for optimal functionality, speed, SEO and design.

By no means are we arrogant about our profession. We are the unrecognized rock stars of your corporation. The ones that create some of the most affordable and effective tools and innovations for your company. We create 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year sales tools. Our goals are to help our company’s profits rise and work efficiency progress.

Think for a moment. Where would you be without web developers and web designers? You wouldn’t be reading this blog for starters. In fact, just for the sake of argument, lets make a list of things you couldn’t do without us.

1. Pay bills online.
2. Manage your bank account quickly and easily.
3. Sell your merchandise easily and affordably.
4. Purchase basically anything at anytime online.
5. Have instant access to learn basically anything and everything.
6. Email.
7. Book trips.
8. Have a 24 hour salesman.
9. Not have to stand in line at the DMV to renew your drivers license, one of my personal favorites.
10. Allow you to promote your business or yourself in ways never thought to be possible and affordable.
11. Facebook, enough said.

The list could go on and on, but I’ve made my point.

In a nut shell, we are inventors. We are dreamers. We are artists and entrepreneurs. We are web developers and designers. We love what we do, that’s why we do it.
