Baby Eli Burkhart was born on 11/27/12 with a significant amount of skin missing from his legs, feet, and hands. He was diagnosed with EB, a rare skin disease that causes the skin to blister and fall off. Even at its mildest, the blistering is confined to the hands and feet, making holding things and walking extremely painful. Eli will require around the clock care. Daily wound care can take hours just for dressing changes. The costs of supplies are both substantial and unpredictable.
